Priyanka Chopra is an Indian singer and film actress who was born on July 18, 1982. She is Miss World pageant (2000). She was born in Jamshedpur to Madhu and Ashok Chopra. She has a younger brother Siddharth. Meera Chopra, Mannara and Actress Parineeti Chopra are her cousins. Her family relocated to several cities in India because of the occupations of her parents. They relocated to cities like Chandigarh, Delhi, Lucknow, Ambala, Bareilly, Ladakh and Pune. She attended St. Maria Goretti College Bareilly and La Martiniere Girls School in Lucknow. In an interview, she added that she didn’t have any problem in changing schools and traveling frequently. She always had a new experience and she discovered several cultures in India.
Along with various places where she spent her life, Chopra has lasting memories of playing in Leh’s cold valleys as a child. She was in 4th standard in Leh and her brother was born then. Her father was posted in Leh as an army man. She had tremendous memories of Leh and she stayed there for a year. They were army kids and living in houses. There was a Stupa just on the hilltop from where the whole valley can be viewed. Her connections with Bareilly are so strong that she considers it as her home town.
