Radamel Falcao García Zárate or simply Falcao, Radamel Falcao is a professional football striker for Monaco and ex-captain of Columbian national team. He is often known as the King of the Europa League or El Tigre. Before moving to River Plate, Falcao made his debut at Lanceros Boyaca where he achieved 07-08 Clausura. He joined FC Porto, the Portuguese Club in 2009 and won several trophies, including Primeira Liga and Europa League in 2011. In International Club Competitions, Falcao became all-time goal scorer and set the record with 17 goals in European campaign.
He received the Portuguese Golden Ball and became the first Columbian to do so. He signed €40 million contract and transferred to Atletico Madrid and led the team to Super Cup and Europa League in 2012. The first match of Falcao started in FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifiers and he started off with goal in the last minute against Bolivia and Columbia won. Under new management led by Argentine Jose Pekerman, he scored a goal in a friendly match against Mexico which ended 2-0. His talent was shown when he scored in second minute to lead Colombia against Uruguay and the team won by 4-0. He also assisted Juan Zuniga in the same match and got 4-0 victory in the stoppage time’s last moments.
