Ranbir Kapoor was born on 28 September 1982 in Mumbai to Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. Ranbir’s parents were one of legends of Bollywood around three decades ago. Ranbir Kapoor’s grand father was Raj- who was the actor director of his time. He is also the great grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor did his schooling in Bombay Schottish school in Mahim. Ranbir Kapoor was not very good in academics, he did not had much interest in academics. He did his further education from H R Commerce College in Mumbai. Later Ranbir Kapoor moved to New York City (USA) to learn film making from the School of Visual Arts and also he had joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to learn method acting.

He did not felt like carrying his practise in New York so he came back to Mumbai to his parents. He did not had very good relations with his mom and dad. In an interview Ranbir Kapoor said that, his parents used to fight a lot in earlier times which left a deep impact on him. Infact, Ranbir Kapoor did not had a Friendly relation with his father. When Ranbir completed his 10 standard , he moved to America to assist his father in his directorial movie “Aa aab laut Chale” which released in 1999.
Ranbir Kapoor in 2005 assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his tragic drama “Black”.Ranbir Kapoor debut in Bollywood in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic drama “Saawariya” opposite Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam. In a magazine’s interview Ranbir had said that, he assisted Bhansali only because he wanted to impress Bhansali any way so that he would cast Ranbir in any of his film and some where he was successful in doing so.The film did not do well in Big screen but, it was capable enough to win Ranbir Kapoor Film Fare Award for Best Debut Actor.
After “Saawariya”, Ranbir Kapoor did three movies in 2009, “Wake Up Sid” which was a story of a rich spoiled brat named sid and his story. He was seen in a romantic duo with Konkana Sen. The film was a superhit in Big Screen. The critics praised his acting in the film. The second film was “Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani”. The film was a romantic comedy and he was seen romancing with Katrina Kaif. The third film which he did in the same year was “Rocket Singh:Salesman of the Year”. The film did not do well in the Big Screen and was a big flop of the year.
Later in 2011, he came with a bang “Rockstar”. It was an Imtiaz Ali’s movie, in the movie he played a role of troubled Musician. Rockstar was a romantic drama and was one of the hit of the year. Ranbir Kapoor’s work in Rockstar was much appreciated by the Critics and definitely Rockstar gave an upliftment to his career and made Ranbir win many awards for the film. In 2012, he came with Anurag Basu’s “Barfi” which was a romantic comedy. In the film he played a role of a deaf-mute man. The film was one of the superhit and made Ranbir Kapoor win many awards including Film Fare Award for Best Film. After all his superhits, there were many films waiting for him. In 2013, he did “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani” which was the highest earning film of the year. He is now one of the highest paid actor in Bollywood. He did many films in 2015, “Roy”, “Tamasha” and many more. He is one of the successful actors in Bollywood. Ranbir Kapoor is talented and one of the demanding actors we have in Bollywood.
